You found my about page, how fortuitous!

I offer you part of my story. I am Salacious: author, cosplayer, streamer, and collector of random hobbies and information. When I am not sucked into writing and editing one of my many projects, I like to find myself in the middle of one of my hobbies. Be that knitting, painting, gaming, doom scrolling, or collecting random information that may or may not aid in my writing down the road.

Between the Powers was my first official project, the first chapter of which I wrote my final semester of community college. Over three years, I poked at it with a stick before deciding that I really wanted to publish a book, and I wanted it to be unique. I wanted it to be mine. So I spent many late nights writing, editing, writing… editing… reading… editing… writing and sharing it with supportive friends. The original cover for the Beta edition was hand-drawn by me, but I knew I needed it professionally done. So while I still needed to jimmy with other things, I commissioned a ‘local’ artist. The Holy Heathen knew exactly what I was looking for. I love the older art styles used for book covers, and I didn’t want to be another generic, photo-shopped, or paper-clay doll/hot man on the cover of the book (even if it might now stand in my way). With skill, Heathen gave me a cover, my community of beta readers gave me criticisms, and with a little magic, I built a book.

Now, the big hurdle is getting that book out there to readers who might be interested in my story. But, while I know not what the future holds, I do know that Gale’s story will continue in the next book… Dance with the Devil~
